Wildflower Walk”
August 21, 2018 at 6:30 p.m.
Wolf Creek Environmental Center
6100 Ridge Road, Medina County

Shelley Tender, who is in charge of interpretative activities for the Medina County Park System, will introduce us to one of their gems, the new Tall Grass Prairie at Wolf Creek/Alderfer Oenslager Wildlife Sanctuary,  north of Sharon Center. This is a chance to see a replica of a much earlier Ohio, when nature called the shots and to become familiar with a variety of prairie flowers in majestic bloom- coneflowers, tall coreopsis, compass plant, milkweed, ironweed, and many others. This should be a highlight of the summer.

Electric Autos on Parade”
September 18, 2018 at 7:30
Unitarian Universalist Church
3300 Morewood Road, Fairlawn

Last winter’s program on electric autos sparked so much interest that we decided to do it again, but bigger and better. If you missed that program or didn’t  get a careful look at all the cars – it was  chilly March night, after all  – here’s an opportunity to see the future up close, really close. We celebrate a technology that promises better and yes, cheaper transportation (no oil changes and very few repairs, for example) but that will also go a long way toward ending our addiction to fossil fuels. Obvious winners!
