Once again you have an opportunity to impress fellow Sierrans with your recent adventures. Bring a cd, a thumb drive, or a memory stick (Windows or Mac) with a few choice photos, and tell us what was distinctive, exciting, or simply restful about your activities! We’ll provide the projector, laptop, and screen. If you’ve been staying close to home, you can travel vicariously with other members. Always interesting and revealing.

January 15, 2019 at 7:30 p.m.
Unitarian Universalist Church
3300 Morewood Road, Fairlawn

Tom James, the long time (and now recently retired) director of the Medina County park system, will discuss the past and future of parks in this important part of our region. In at the beginning, he has presided over a dramatic expansion of the county’s parks and the many services they provide. Apart from his contributions to the quality of life in Medina County, he has provided a model for other areas, some of which he now serves as a consultant. His critical role in the development of the region’s parks was instrumental in the ExCom’s selection of Tom for the 2019 Seiberling Achievement Award, which will be made at the March Earth Day banquet.
